In a recent Alternative Press article, Andrew revealed that he is planning to return to the studio in Spring 2010 to record his third full studio album with Jack's Mannequin. According to a recent LiveDaily interview with Relient K's lead vocalist, Matt Thiessen, Thiessen contributed around four songs or so to the upcoming Jack's Mannequin album. It is unclear whether some or all of these tracks are to be included on the new album. The new album comes out October 4.

McMahon debuted a new song titled "Restless Dream" during an acoustic tour in Australia in February 2011. This song, along with "Hey Hey Hey (We're All Gonna Die)", and "Platform Fire", which was debuted in late 2010, will be on the new album.
On March 21, 2011, Andrew McMahon sent an email to his fans announcing a summer tour with Guster and revealing the title of Jack's Mannequin's third studio album: "In a perfect world we will be finished with Jack's third album, 'People and Things', by the end of this month."

J Cole said several of the tracks are songs he's held onto from before he was signed. He said they were too good to give away on mix-tapes. J Cole stated that he has 16 tracks on the album, 12 of which he has produced himself. He also revealed that he will not release a pre-album mixtape like he previously stated. Instead, every Sunday until the album he will release songs that did not make the album. The bundles of songs released are called Any Given Sundays. J Cole Cole World: The Sideline Story has said that the reason for the subtitle "The Sideline Story" is because he feels since being signed to Jay-Z it has been like being on the sidelines for your favorite basketball team, and you're just waiting until the coach puts you on. On May 3rd, 2011 J. Cole World stated on Twitter "All singles done. Album ridiculous. Title Perfect. Music incredible. Thank you for your patience. Let's change the game." On June 21, 2011 Cole tweeted, "Cole World: The Sideline Story", the album's title. He then tweeted "9/27," the release date. Cole World: World Tour has been scheduled and will begin August 23rd in Vancouver. The album's cover art was designed by Alex Haldi for Bestest Asbestos.

Blink 182 Neighborhoods Album Download is the sixth studio album by the American pop punk band Blink-182, released September 27, 2011 through DGC Records and Interscope Records. Their first album of new material in eight years, its recording followed the band's 2009 reunion after a four-year hiatus. Due to conflicts within the trio, the band entered an "indefinite hiatus" in 2005 and the members explored various side-projects. After two separate tragedies regarding the band and their entourage, the members of the band decided to reunite in late 2008, with plans for a new album and tour. The band's studio autonomy, tours, managers and personal projects stalled the recording process, which lasted from shortly after the band's February 2009 reunion to July 2011. The band developed Neighborhoods in separate studios and regrouped at various periods to record. The band's numerous delays in the recording process resulted in the band canceling a European tour and the label setting a deadline for the album to be due. The band explored many experimental recording techniques during the sessions but set a goal to maintain a pop sensibility. The trio wrote dark lyrics regarding such subjects as isolation, confusion and death. Back in January Styles P announced the title of his 4^th solo album Master of Ceremonies but since then details surrounding the project’s release date have been scarce. During an interview with ForbezDVD, Styles confirmed that Master Of Ceremonies is slated for a September release and he also announced plans to drop a new, still-untitled mixtape next month. “Kiss just dropped the I Love You mixtape, make sure you get that shit,” he said, referring to Jadakiss’ May release. “My shit will be out next month, I ain’t name it yet, but the album Master of Ceremonies, September.” Styles also added that he was working on Invincible Part II, presumably the follow up to his first book Invincible, which hit bookstores in June 2010.
